In this position, you’ll have the chance to collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, developing individualized care for pre-K students while engaging in meaningful relationships within the school community. By taking on specialized roles such as conducting special education evaluations and writing IEPs, you’ll deepen your practical knowledge, experience a variety of workplace practices, and strengthen your leadership abilities in unique school settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid OT license in Illinois (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in educational settings preferred
  • Knowledge in special education processes and IEP development
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct special education evaluations for 20-30 pre-K students
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and implement IEPs
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions in accordance with individualized plans
  • Document progress and communicate effectively with staff and families
  • Work onsite three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; total 22.5 hours)
