An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services in Cambridge, MD. This role focuses on supporting students' developmental and educational needs within a school setting, providing essential therapy to help children succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to assess students’ functional abilities and needs related to occupational therapy.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's educational goals.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Document and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Facilitate functional activities that enhance students’ daily school performance and independence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • Experience working in school environments with children of varying ages and abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of educational laws and guidelines related to special education and therapy services.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to diverse student needs and school schedules.
