The role involves a highly flexible schedule, with services provided through small group sessions and individual consults, carefully tailored to student needs.
Caseload includes:
- Meeting with students 15 times annually for 30-minute small group sessions.
- Facilitating 20 annual sessions of 30 minutes in small groups.
- Monthly 30-minute consultation meetings with individual students.
- Providing 5 annual individual consults of 10 minutes each.
- Conducting 15 annual 30-minute one-on-one sessions.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Experience working in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT settings.
- Familiarity with teletherapy practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for helping students succeed.
- Prior experience documenting progress and working as part of an educational support team.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering occupational therapy services in both group and consultative formats.
- Assessing student needs and developing individualized service plans.
- Documenting session outcomes and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student goals.
- Adapting interventions for various learning environments and modalities.
