Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Occupational Therapy license for Kansas, or the ability to obtain
- Experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Background in home health or healthcare occupational therapy a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and track progress
- Compassion and patience working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ needs and create tailored therapy goals
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services within school settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams
- Consult with staff and families to carry over strategies and progress
- Maintain detailed records and documentation per school and state standards
- Adapt interventions to promote student participation and inclusion
