Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Michigan
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to various school environments
- Knowledge of IEP process and documentation standards
- Passion for empowering students to reach their full potential
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Assess, evaluate, and develop individual goals targeting motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in compliance with district policies
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, sharing expertise and recommendations
- Adapt therapy techniques and interventions for different school locations and student needs
