Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active, current Occupational Therapist license in Michigan.
  • Previous experience with school-aged children strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective, individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students as determined by their individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assess students’ needs, strengths, and progress using appropriate assessments and tools.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, classroom aides, and administration to incorporate OT strategies into the classroom setting.
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, contributing OT expertise and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
  • Support students’ functional independence and participation in academic and daily school activities.
