Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current license to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments to identify developmental and functional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions
  • Provide direct and consultative services as required by student IEPs
  • Train and support teachers with strategies and accommodations
  • Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and related service providers
  • Take part in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
  • Advocate for student participation and accessibility within the school environment
