Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as an occupational therapist for the upcoming school year. This role is based near Carlsbad, CA, and is set to run from August 18th through the end of December, with high potential for extension into the new year.
This position involves working with a diverse elementary-aged caseload, including students who are medically fragile. The workweek comprises 37.5 hours of consistent, meaningful engagement, providing direct therapy services, collaborating on IEPs, and partnering with educators and families to ensure each student’s optimal participation in the school environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Prior school-based occupational therapy experience (required)
- Experience working with medically fragile and elementary-aged children
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning space
Role Highlights:
- Deliver OT services aligned with students’ IEPs
