Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for an Occupational Therapist working with students ages 5-21, supporting a diverse population with a variety of needs. Starting October 1st, 2026 and extending through April 15th, 2027, you'll focus on making measurable impacts in a school setting, with a single location for consistency and convenience. Working hours are 8am-3pm, allowing for a structured weekday schedule and work-life balance.

In this high-needs environment, you'll apply your expertise in school-based occupational therapy and healthcare to support students facing a wide range of disabilities. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to deliver personalized interventions, promoting each child’s independence and participation in daily school activities.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure for New Jersey
  • Prior experience in school settings required; experience in home health or other healthcare OT settings is valuable
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt interventions for students with varying disabilities and developmental stages
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing occupational therapy evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Deliver direct therapy services, both one-on-one and in small group settings
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to optimize outcomes
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with applicable guidelines
