Providing essential coverage for an OT backfill, you'll split your full-time schedule between Cahill elementary and Jr/Sr High, fostering student success and collaborating closely with other dedicated professionals.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in New York State
• Experience working within a school setting, supporting both MTSS and general education students
• Ability to adapt to shared therapy spaces, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility with physical therapists
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to evidence-based therapeutic practices and IEP processes

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver eight engaging OT sessions per day, adapting interventions for diverse needs
• Support the development of student motor skills, adaptive functioning, and engagement in school routines
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into classroom settings
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing, including for snow days
• Participate in school meetings, contribute to student planning, and help create an inclusive, positive learning environment
• Arrive ready to make a difference by 8:30 am each day, balancing your time across elementary and Jr/Sr High students

This position offers an immediate start and runs through June 24, providing vital continuity of care and skill-building for students across two lively school campuses.
