School Occupational Therapist | Cavalier, North Dakota

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid occupational therapy license in North Dakota (or eligibility)
• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
• Prior experience in a K-12 educational setting is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEPs and ability to contribute effectively to student planning teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic activities to meet a variety of needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educational staff and families
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support to students and classroom staff
• Educate faculty and families about strategies and accommodations for student success
• Stay current with best practices and professional education in school-based occupational therapy
