School Occupational Therapist | Central Falls, Rhode Island

As a contract therapist in a dynamic school setting, you will work directly with students to help them overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and fully participate in daily school activities.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Proficiency in individualized assessment, intervention planning, and progress documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet each student's unique needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to determine students’ strengths and areas of need
• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans that foster student independence and academic participation
• Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines
• Maintain accurate records and monitor each student’s progress toward IEP goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate results and recommendations with team members and families
