This contract opportunity is located in the Central Islip, NY area and centers on delivering direct services to a small caseload—three students who have not received occupational therapy since March. Your expertise will be vital to helping these students regain momentum and achieve their goals.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Demonstrated experience working within a school environment, especially with K-12 students
  • Strong understanding of delivering services in compliance with IEPs and school standards
  • Ability to adapt plans to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs and develop tailored occupational therapy plans for each assigned student
  • Deliver direct OT services onsite, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Maintain documentation and records as required by school and district guidelines
  • Advocate for the students’ therapeutic needs and help reintegrate services into their educational routines
