Occupational Therapist School Setting - Chandler, AZ

This full-time role, running through May 27, blends a variety of practice areas including school-based, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy occupational therapy services. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience in school-based occupational therapy, home health, healthcare, and/or teletherapy settings.
• Current licensure and applicable certifications to practice Occupational Therapy.
• Proficient in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (I.E.P.s).
• Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to supervise and support Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs).

Main Responsibilities:

• Screen and evaluate referred students to identify educationally-related functional deficits.
• Provide direct remediation, restorative, or compensatory treatments.
• Integrate assistive technology services to enhance student participation and independence.
• Plan, prepare, and execute individualized and group therapy activities.
• Maintain ongoing communication with teachers and parents, offering valuable recommendations and insights.
• Prepare detailed progress reports that accurately reflect student development.
• Supervise the performance and manage the caseloads of COTAs.

This contract position offers consistent hours—between 37.5 to 40 per week—ensuring a stable and engaging environment throughout the remainder of the school year.
