Make a meaningful impact this summer by providing vital occupational therapy services to students with disabilities in a supportive school setting. This contract position, running from July 6 to July 31, requires a dedicated occupational therapist to work Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. You'll play a pivotal role helping students reach their Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives through targeted interventions and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services as specified in student IEPs
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to foster fine motor development, sensory regulation, self-care, and overall school participation
  • Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and service delivery as required by legal and district guidelines
  • Work closely with special education faculty, related service professionals, and families to promote student success
  • Modify materials and activities to appropriately address the diverse needs of each student, both in school and community-based learning environments

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Prior experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IDEA, IEP processes, and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
