Occupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based Position

Location: Virtual, North Carolina

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a part-time, school-based position in California. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary and middle school students and be comfortable conducting evaluations, supporting student needs, and providing supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students referred for services.
• Assess student needs and make appropriate recommendations for school-based OT services.
• Provide supervision and support to COTAs.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other related service providers.
• Support students in achieving their educational and developmental goals.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and evaluation reports.

Assignment Details

• Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week.
• Schedule: Part-time.
• Caseload: Elementary and middle school students.
• Primary Responsibilities: Student evaluations and COTA supervision.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active North Carolina Occupational Therapist (OT) license required.
• Previous school-based experience preferred.
• Experience conducting pediatric and school-based occupational therapy evaluations.
• Experience supervising or supporting COTAs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Pay: $42-$47/hour (negotiable based on experience)
