School Occupational Therapist - Cheney, Washington

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid OT license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Previous pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Comfortable working across diverse caseloads and adapting interventions to meet individual needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to determine their occupational therapy needs within the educational setting
• Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals based on student assessment
• Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, as outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to support students’ academic and functional goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and document student progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Educate and consult with families and school staff regarding strategies to facilitate student independence
• Maintain detailed records and adhere to all compliance standards
