Key Qualifications:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid South Carolina licensure (or eligibility for reciprocity)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and commitment to evidence-based practices
- Familiarity with school documentation systems and IEP development is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of communication disorders for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and specialists
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in accordance with students’ needs
- Maintain accurate records and participate in annual reviews, staff meetings, and parent conferences
- Serve as a valuable resource to staff and families regarding speech, language, and communication development
