School Occupational Therapist - Chester, Virginia

Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Virginia
• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational or school-based setting
• Knowledge of best practices related to school occupational therapy
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to effectively adapt to changing student needs and service requirements
• Availability to provide in-person services, including on a PRN (as needed) basis
• Previous experience with ESY and/or compensatory services is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted occupational therapy services to students, addressing individualized education goals
• Support students participating in ESY and those requiring compensatory services due to previously missed sessions
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored intervention plans
• Assess student progress, document sessions, and communicate progress with IEP teams and families
• Maintain compliance with all local and federal guidelines for school-based therapy services
• Demonstrate flexibility by stepping in as needed to support fluctuating caseloads and staffing needs
