Seeking two licensed Occupational Therapists to support school-based therapy programs in the Chicago area. These full-time, contract positions provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to the developmental progress of students in diverse educational settings.
Position Details:
- Two Occupational Therapist openings available.
- First assignment involves covering two non-concurrent leaves at elementary schools: initially at a suburban elementary school until May, then transitioning to another elementary school in a nearby district.
- Full-time schedule exceeding 35 hours per week at each elementary setting.
- Second assignment is for a full-time role in an Early Childhood classroom located in a nearby district of Chicago, maintaining 35+ hours weekly.
- The Early Childhood position currently has a pending offer.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensure as a registered Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy.
- Strong skills in pediatric OT assessment and intervention, particularly within elementary and early childhood education settings.
- Ability to manage full-time caseloads efficiently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to cover non-concurrent leave periods and adapt to varying school environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to support student participation and success in school activities.
- Assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff to foster inclusive learning environments.
- Document therapy outcomes and comply with relevant school and state regulations.
