Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic self-contained special education program for ages 3 to 22. Your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will serve a diverse group, with a manageable caseload of 18-25 students, allowing for strong relationships and individualized care. This full-time position integrates settings such as in-person school-based therapy, teletherapy, and home health, making every day unique and impactful.
Ideal candidates bring prior experience in school environments, home health, and teletherapy, and are adept at adapting interventions to fit varying student needs and abilities. Familiarity with integrated service delivery in self-contained programs is especially valuable, as is confidence in addressing the needs of a broad age spectrum from early childhood through young adulthood.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience in school-based, home health, and/or teletherapy settings
- Ability to implement customized interventions for a wide age range (3-22)
- Strong understanding of sensory regulation, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and other team members
- Capable of facilitating or participating in IEP meetings and documentation requirements
- Must be available for a face-to-face interview onsite
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in a self-contained setting
- Write and update IEPs, progress notes, and other required documentation
- Evaluate students’ motor skills, sensory needs, and adaptive functioning
- Collaborate with classroom staff and related service professionals
- Engage families in supporting students’ progress at school and, when applicable, at home
- Incorporate virtual and in-person modalities as needed
