Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with educational goals
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant documentation requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within the educational environment
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals within classroom activities
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, interventions, and student progress
  • Provide consultative services to maximize student participation and independence in school routines
