Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois (or eligibility for licensure)
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with educational goals
- Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant documentation requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within the educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals within classroom activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, interventions, and student progress
- Provide consultative services to maximize student participation and independence in school routines
