Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Current, valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
  • Experience providing OT services within a school-based setting preferred
  • Understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans to suit diverse student needs
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional levels and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in various school settings
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Work alongside teachers and multidisciplinary teams to modify classroom activities and support learning
  • Provide guidance and education to staff and families about ways to enhance students’ independence and participation
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and professional development sessions
