This contract role is based in the beautiful Butte County region, primarily around Oroville—with potential travel to the Paradise area. Your expertise will play a vital part in helping students gain greater confidence and functional independence in their daily activities.

In this position, you’ll be working in person and traveling between school sites. You’ll have the added benefit of mileage reimbursement for work-related travel. As a valued professional, you’ll enjoy a supportive and collaborative environment during the contract period from August 10 through May 28, 2027.

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid and current Occupational Therapist licensure in California
  • Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatric OT services
  • Ability to work full-time across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Comfort with independent work and travel within the assigned region
  • Open to candidates willing to travel for the duration of the assignment
  • Strong commitment to student-centered care and collaborative teamwork

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing occupational therapy assessments and individualized treatment for students
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with school and state standards
  • Facilitating interventions to support student participation and success in educational activities
  • Consulting with school teams and offering professional recommendations
  • Traveling between school sites as needed, with mileage reimbursement covered
