Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, including IEP development and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based strategies for pediatric and adolescent populations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions and documentation to diverse student needs and learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ functional abilities and plan individualized therapy sessions to address fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skills needed for school participation
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain clear, compliant documentation of services, progress, and student outcomes
  • Provide consultation and training for school staff to maximize carry-over of strategies in the classroom
  • Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and educational planning
  • Advocate for accessible learning environments, recommending modifications and accommodations as needed
