Occupational Therapist School Setting in Chicopee, MA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
• Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs and special education services
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability and creativity in delivering therapy in a school setting

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of needs
• Conduct assessments and report on student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to support student success
• Document services provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment for students to build confidence and independence
