Occupational Therapist School Setting in Chimacum, WA

Make an impact supporting students’ success in an educational setting as a contract Occupational Therapist. Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff in a schools-based role, providing specialized OT services to help children achieve functional independence in learning environments. You’ll use your expertise to assess needs, create customized intervention plans, and advocate for students—ensuring every child has the support they need to thrive.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state
• Previous experience working in schools or pediatrics is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to evaluate students and develop tailored treatment plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in school settings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and educational staff
• Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Participate in multidisciplinary team planning and training
