Step into a vital role providing floating occupational therapy support in a dynamic school environment, assisting K-5 students, including those with ASD and multiple disabilities. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and have a meaningful impact on student success. This position involves working one full day per week, covering a caseload to help alleviate overages and offer specialized support where it is most needed. In-person availability is preferred, ensuring direct engagement with students and staff.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Understanding of the unique needs of students with ASD and multiple disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to diverse classrooms and changing environments
  • Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills for students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to K-5 students as assigned, with a focus on those with ASD and complex needs
  • Float between classrooms and support teams to address caseload overages
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to implement IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and communications
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to holistic student support plans
