Key Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Minnesota
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Background working with a range of student ages, particularly in elementary and middle school
- Ability to provide supervision and guidance to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong commitment to fostering student growth and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and district policies
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and monitor progress for students requiring OT services
- Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring quality support for students and compliance with best practices
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation of evaluations, interventions, and outcomes
- Travel between the designated middle school and elementary school sites as scheduled
