Occupational Therapist School Setting in Citrus Heights, CA

An occupational therapist is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting. This contract position is located in Citrus Heights, CA, and is available for the entire school year. The role focuses on providing occupational therapy services to help students develop and improve the skills necessary for academic success and daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group sessions
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license
• Experience working with school-aged children (K-12)
• Familiarity with school-based occupational therapy practices and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs
