This part-time contract position offers the chance to work closely with elementary-aged students, collaborating with a dynamic school team to help students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students across elementary sites, employing evidence-based interventions to support educational goals.
  • Assess, evaluate, and document students’ functional needs in the school environment, completing comprehensive reports and updating progress as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address student-specific needs.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring quality care and professional development.
  • Schedule and manage a caseload of approximately 24 hours per week over three days, efficiently allocating time to meet students’ needs while maintaining work-life balance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy.
  • Prior experience working within school-based settings, particularly at the elementary level, strongly preferred.
  • Competency in supervising and mentoring COTAs to promote optimal outcomes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and student-centered environment.
