Occupational Therapist School Setting in Claremont, NH

Make a meaningful impact this summer by providing vital occupational therapy services during a school’s extended session. We’re seeking a skilled professional to support students with disabilities as they work toward their IEP goals in a collaborative educational environment.

This contract opportunity runs from July 6 through July 31. You’ll work Monday through Thursday from 8am to 12pm, focusing on helping students gain functional skills that support their independence and participation at school.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services according to each student’s IEP.
• Use evidence-based interventions to develop fine motor skills, sensory strategies, self-care routines, and classroom participation.
• Maintain accurate session notes, progress summaries, and service logs as required.
• Partner closely with special education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
• Adapt activities and therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs, whether in the school setting or during community-based instruction.

Desired background:

• Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience delivering OT services in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEPs, and the school-based therapy process.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt interventions and materials for a variety of learning styles and needs.
