Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Kansas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in schools, home health, or healthcare environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEP processes and individualized interventions for diverse student needs
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to various school-based settings
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ functional needs in the educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans geared toward promoting student success and independence
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and support IEP goals
- Maintain detailed progress records and comply with documentation requirements in a timely manner
- Offer consultative support and training to staff regarding best practices for promoting student participation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
