Occupational Therapist School Setting in Columbia, SC

You’ll benefit from a schedule aligned with the academic calendar, working 37.5 hours per week and focusing on meaningful, individualized care for caseloads typically around 45-50 students. Your role will combine elements of school-based OT, home health, and broader healthcare skills to ensure that every child has the support they need to thrive both academically and beyond.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Valid Occupational Therapy license
• Experience with school-based OT, PreK-12th grade preferred
• Knowledge of home health and healthcare OT practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to delivering evidence-based interventions
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload independently
• Insight into developing IEPs and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and a positive, student-centered approach

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other specialists
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
• Complete evaluations, maintain detailed records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Support the development of life and functional skills as needed for student success
