Occupational Therapist School Setting - Compton, CA

A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to support a vibrant K-12 school community in Compton, CA. This on-site contract position provides an exciting opportunity to deliver specialized OT services to students across a diverse caseload. The role supports student development and learning from the start of the school year through the end of school year, with potential for summer work and contract renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students with varying needs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress related to occupational therapy goals
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to enhance students’ functional abilities in the school environment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to district and legal standards

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid California OT license or certification eligible for the school setting
• Experience providing OT services in K-12 education preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school staff and families
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while adhering to deadlines and regulatory requirements
• Commitment to fostering student independence and academic success through therapeutic interventions

Location & Schedule:

• Position is located in Compton, CA
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site only
• Contract runs from ASAP through end of school year with possible summer availability and renewals
