Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in California
- Successful completion of an accredited OT program
- Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized therapy goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely student records and progress reports
- Adapt interventions to address sensory, fine/gross motor, and self-care skills
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide expertise on occupational therapy’s role in student success
- Offer training and resources to educational staff as needed
