Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Background in school-based OT services for children or youth
- Experience with teletherapy, home health, or healthcare OT settings is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize a varied caseload
- Comfortable adapting therapeutic strategies for both onsite and remote delivery
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
- Enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to K-8th grade students based on individualized plans
- Assess and document students’ needs, progress, and outcomes according to school protocols
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote integration of therapy goals into daily classroom routines
- Facilitate both direct and consult-based therapy sessions, utilizing teletherapy platforms as needed
- Develop and adapt individual education plans (IEPs) in partnership with educational teams
- Attend and participate in school meetings and parent conferences as required
- Maintain accurate, timely records and adhere to all compliance regulations
