Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of California
- Proven experience working in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong knowledge of assessments, interventions, and documentation for school-aged children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
- Proficient in adapting activities and environments to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Comfortable managing a dynamic caseload and conducting both individual and group sessions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, both in and out of the classroom
- Monitor and document progress, updating intervention plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting and progress reviews
- Offer training and resources to educators and families to promote carryover of strategies
