This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to support students across multiple school sites, providing vital services that foster independence and success in both academic and daily living tasks.
Key Experience & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience working within school settings, including knowledge of IEP processes
- Ability to provide a broad range of OT interventions in educational environments
- Expertise in both direct therapy and consultative services for students and teachers
- Previous work in home health or healthcare environments is a plus
- Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
- Willingness to travel between sites within the Riverside area
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary through high school students as indicated by IEPs and referrals
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy into students’ educational goals
- Document services, progress notes, and updates in compliance with district and federal guidelines
- Provide training and resources for school staff and parents to support carryover of skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and progress reporting
- Adapt interventions and materials to meet diverse student needs across multiple locations
