Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in school-based OT settings, especially with adolescent populations
- Strong communication abilities with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of IEP development and delivering therapy aligned with educational goals
- Adaptability working with diverse needs in a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and design personalized intervention plans
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy to support students’ functional and academic performance
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to implement strategies in classrooms and at home
- Document progress and maintain accurate, timely records per educational requirements
- Travel between the middle and high school to provide consistent and coordinated care
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insight into student progress and recommendations
