Occupational Therapist School Setting - Corrales, NM

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, providing essential support and intervention to students in a dynamic educational environment. Located near the scenic Corrales, NM area, this role offers the chance to help students achieve greater independence and success throughout the school day. There are several potential openings due to an anticipated retirement this fall and two upcoming maternity leaves, with full-time roles available. Candidate preferences regarding caseload and assignment timing are encouraged and will be considered.

What we’re looking for:

• Current and valid Occupational Therapy license
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Passion for supporting student development in a school setting
• Ability to commit to an onsite-only contract position

What you’ll do:

• Deliver individualized and group OT interventions as outlined in student IEPs
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
• Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress
• Document services according to state and school district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school community
