You will play an integral part in supporting student growth through specialized occupational therapy services, working closely with educational teams and families to ensure every learner achieves their fullest potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Background in both pediatric and adolescent therapy
- Adaptable, with skills in managing diverse caseloads across multiple schools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support students’ educational access and participation
- Conduct assessments and write thorough reports to guide IEP planning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized goals and accommodations
- Travel to multiple schools in and around New Bern, Havelock, James City, and Merrimon
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, consultative sessions, and staff development activities
