Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in California
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to assess student needs and implement effective therapy plans
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Positive attitude with a passion for student support and advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized interventions for students
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Assist teachers with strategies and modifications for classroom participation
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate school staff and families about occupational therapy supports
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
