You'll provide a combination of direct therapy and consultative services, currently serving approximately 22 students directly and offering consultation for 13 others.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license (valid in California)
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal writing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites
- Flexibility and excellent organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
- Maintain thorough documentation for direct services, evaluations, and consultations
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to support student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations as a valued team member
- Consult regularly with school staff to foster inclusive educational environments
- Travel between three schools as part of your weekly schedule
