Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and current OT licensure
- Previous experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare settings is highly valued
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and interventions
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ abilities and goals
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine student needs within the school environment
- Design and implement individualized therapy programs aimed at enhancing students’ academic participation, sensory-motor skills, and daily living activities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and school staff to support students’ learning objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insight for developing education plans
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and make data-driven recommendations for ongoing support
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with established schedules, both within classrooms and designated therapy spaces
