Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting K-8th grade students across two vibrant campuses in the Dallas, TX area. This full-time position offers a balanced schedule of 37.5 hours per week, giving you the chance to make a real impact in school-based practice without the burden of extra duties beyond your contracted time. The assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 21, 2027, providing the security of guaranteed weekly hours.
In this role, you’ll provide both direct and indirect services, collaborating with educators and families to address students' diverse needs. You’ll be working with students across multiple grade levels and campuses, delivering essential occupational therapy interventions that help students maximize their participation in daily school life. Traveling therapists may also be eligible for additional stipends.
Qualifications:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to travel between campus assignments as needed
Responsibilities:
- Assess and support students with a range of occupational therapy needs in the K-8 population
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultative services to teachers and staff
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
