Required Background and Skills:

  • A current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state
  • Experience delivering OT services within a school or pediatric setting
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and school teams
  • Skilled in assessments, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
  • Proficiency in adapting strategies to accommodate various learning and physical needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students’ functional and developmental needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with educators and parents to ensure a coordinated approach for each child
  • Document services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school policies and regulations
  • Support students in developing skills related to fine motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation
  • Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise during IEP development
