Required Background and Skills:
- A current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state
- Experience delivering OT services within a school or pediatric setting
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and school teams
- Skilled in assessments, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
- Proficiency in adapting strategies to accommodate various learning and physical needs
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Duties:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students’ functional and developmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and targeted interventions
- Collaborate with educators and parents to ensure a coordinated approach for each child
- Document services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school policies and regulations
- Support students in developing skills related to fine motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise during IEP development
