Occupational Therapist School Setting - Darlington, SC

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Proficiency with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
• Familiarity with completing Medicaid billing paperwork for therapy services
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, some on consult services
• Flexible and adaptable to changing caseload assignments at the start of the school year
• Excellent communication skills when working with students, teachers, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver Occupational Therapy services aligned with students’ IEPs across elementary school populations in either the Darlington or Hartsville areas
• Manage a diverse caseload, adjusting approaches to meet varied student needs
• Complete timely documentation, including filling out the OT portions of IEP paperwork (present levels, OT goal progress reports, and goal development)
• Oversee Medicaid billing documentation as required
• Collaborate with school teams to support students’ functional and academic success
• Participate in IEP meetings and consult with staff and families as needed
