Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, working closely with school-aged students in a supportive educational setting. This full-time opportunity begins in January and spans 6-8 weeks, serving one K-12 school with a caseload of approximately 50 students. Use your specialized skills to make a real impact, facilitating growth and development for children and teens.

Qualifications:

  • Credentialed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience supporting K-12 students, ideally within a school setting
  • Knowledge of school-based therapy techniques and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a diverse caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop customized intervention plans for students’ occupational therapy needs
  • Deliver direct therapy services to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive behavior
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success in the educational environment
  • Maintain clear documentation and reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and progress updates with multidisciplinary teams
