Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient approach focused on student success
- Willingness to work with a diverse student population across age groups
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs
- Develop and implement individualized Occupational Therapy plans
- Support students in improving fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress updates to teams and families
- Maintain detailed intervention records and required documentation
- Adapt interventions as needed based on student progress and feedback
