Occupational Therapist School Setting in Dearborn, MI

Essential Qualifications:

• Current Michigan Occupational Therapy license
• Experience in school-based, home health, or general healthcare OT settings
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
• Passion for helping children achieve developmental and educational goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive OT evaluations and evidence-based treatments to elementary-aged students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Consult with teachers and staff to modify classroom environments and instructional strategies
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions to ensure optimal student outcomes
• Manage documentation, progress reports, and communication in accordance with district and state regulations
• Engage families and caregivers to support skill development at home
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate services
